Volunteer Committees

Inclusion Advocacy has a number of Volunteer Committees:

  • Communications
  • Education
  • Family Support
  • Fund Raising
  • Management

Communications Committee

The goal of the communications committee is to ensure the the appropriate media contacts are made during our fund raising events, and ensure that our message is relayed in a clear and consistent manner.  The first act of this committee will be to develop a Communication Plan.

Education Committee

The Education Committee is in the process of preparing an information pamplet for families to help them understand their rights under the Charter and the obligations of the Department of Education.  This would be in the form of an SEP (Special Education Plan) guideline.

Family Support Committee

The Family Support Committee ensures that those families that are supported are aware of what the organization is doing and keep our files up to date with the families that are supported.

Fund Raising Committee

The Fund Raising Committee will work on the major events: Trees for A Brighter Future; Move 2 Include; Lounsbury FUN Challenge; BAND Together for Community Living; Each of these events require additional members as needed.

Management Committee

The Management Committee is responsible for working with the Executive Director on issues related to staffing and facilities.  It also updates the procedures and policies manual and reviews the Constitution and By-Laws.
