Support Inclusion in the Spirit of Giving this Holiday Season
Once again this year, Inclusion Advocacy is participating in a global movement of giving called Giving Tuesday, November 29, 2016. Black Friday and Cyber Monday kick off the holiday shopping season, when billions is spent around the world to purchase things on sale in stores and online. We have two days that are good for the economy, and now we have a day to benefit our communities.
This is a day to support charities, celebrate their work and think about others. Giving Tuesday is a movement for everyone who wants to give something back this holiday season.
We would be honored if you chose to contribute to our organization this year. Your tax-deductible Giving Tuesday gift of even $25, $50 or $100 will enable us to:
- Support more families in crisis. We currently advocate for dozens of individuals and their families who are in urgent need of support and assistance every week. Your support ensure they have a voice. We support over 300 individuals in South-East NB.
- Ensure more children are included. Research shows the academic results of all students tends to improve in an inclusive classroom. Your support ensure students are included with various programs such as Intentional Peer Support Groups and support with PLP planning.
- Advocacy Workshops. Teaching individuals and their families to advocate for themselves ensures they have the skills to cope with the challenges they may face.
- Person Centered Futures Planning. Planning for the future as individuals grow is an important part of everyone’s life. We help facilitate discussion around life goals, dreams, family, education, transition to adult life including: supportive employment, supportive living, relationships, and community involvement.
Share our vision of an inclusive world that welcomes children and adults with developmental disabilities as valued community members. On Tuesday please join the Giving Tuesday movement and change lives by donating on-line here:
