Inclusion Advocacy SENB (IA SENB), a local Not-For-Profit, charitable association, dedicated to inclusive communities, protecting the rights and promoting the interests of individuals (from birth to seniors) with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Southeast NB.

. . . is seeking a mature, responsible, engaging, and self-motivated individual, who values and understands inclusive communities, (where individuals with a disability are provided the right, opportunity, and support to follow the same path as those who do not have a disability – going to school, having friends, attending post-secondary education, working, and having valued roles in their community, to name a few), and has good decision-making, problem-solving, research, program development, presentation, communication, and facilitation skills for the position of a Community Events and Volunteer Coordinator.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work closely with the IA team, and community partners to plan, execute and evaluate various community and fundraising events
  • Source, recruit volunteers, collect information on availabilities and skills, track and document their performance, and activities

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Arrange for orientation, training & support as needed
  • Coordinate volunteers & assign responsibilities as appropriate for events.
  • Brainstorming potential partnerships/methods for engagement with local community.
  • Maintain a calendar of community activities.
  • Prepare budget for community events & activities.
  • Prepare accurate records & reports on community event goals, volunteer recruitment, & fundraising plan.
  • Public relations, including press releases, brochures, & other marketing materials, & maintain organization's website.
  • Collect & analyze local demographic data, develop & present results.
  • Perform administrative duties, as required.

Position Information

This is a 12 week SEED position. Expected start Date: 2023-05-29

WAGES: $14.75 / hour
