2023-Personal Support Worker (PWS-AM-0623)

Inclusion Advocacy SENB (IA SENB), a local Not-For-Profit, charitable association, dedicated to inclusive communities, protecting the rights and promoting the interests of individuals (from birth to seniors) with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Southeast NB.

One of the families IA supports is seeking a responsible, dependable, mature individual to provide personal supports for a caring, adult-male, who works well with consistency and flexible structure.

The position of a Personal Support Worker - POSITION: (#PSW-AM-0623) is for 25-30 hours per week, Monday to Friday 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

  • Wage : Negotiable
  • Mileage Allowance provided

The successful applicant will have the following requirements/skills/experience:

  • A current, clean Criminal and Vulnerable Persons’ Record check is essential.
  • Valid Driver's License, clean driving record, proof of insurance and access to a reliable vehicle.
  • Punctuality and reliability essential.
  • Flexibility
  • English language essential
  • Personal Support Worker or Human Services Certificate/Diploma is considered an asset but not required. (We are willing to provide guidance).

Responsibilities

  • Transportation to and support at specific scheduled activities 2 days a week
  •  Transportation to and support at a second specific scheduled volunteer activity 2 days a week
  • 1 free day: support to assist with daily activities skills
